Melanie Lindsey

Melanie Lindsey

Melanie is passionate about all things creative. When she’s not coordinating all aspects of our office life, Melanie indulges her love for photography, painting, treasure hunting at thrift stores and flea markets, cooking, and being a great dog mom to her miniature dachshund, Wallace.

Growing up in the rural town of Seneca, Illinois, Melanie gravitated to music, playing flute for eight years and alto saxophone for six. In college (perhaps rebelling against her band geek roots), she and a friend dreamed of starting an all-girl pop punk band. Her efforts to learn bass guitar, alas, did not result in a record contract or a world tour. Melanie then set her sights on the visual arts, first training in Illustration, then securing her B.A. in Art & Design from Columbia College. (Her makeup artistry is also on display in numerous student and independent films.)

Melanie believes that variety is the spice of life, and she is delighted when each day is a bit different than the last. She also enjoys the company of creative people and being inspired, which has ultimately led her to Jell.
